Thompson in for Blackman
Posted 21/07/04

Mark Thompson, currently riding in the Conference League with Swindon Sprockets, has been named as the man to replace Corey Blackman in Glasgows reserve berth at Hull tonight.

The twenty-five year old Essex born rider first appeared at Conference League level in 1996 and has ridden for a few conference league sides since. He has previously guested in the PL for Stoke, Somerset, Kings Lynn and Arena Essex.

He has been scoring well recently, no doubt the reason he has been called in as a guest for tonights meeting although it is unlikely he will get any more than the minimum three rides.

Its also understood that Mark is one of the many CL riders Glasgow approached at the start of the season who rejected the opportunity of the reserve berth at Ashfield so it will be interesting to see what we missed out on!
