Can Tigers Rob Bandits?

Posted 30/07/04

Glasgow head for the borders tomorrow with what looks like it could be a very depleted team. Lee Dicken is already confirmed as injured whilst it looks like the influential James Grieves will also be missing after injuring himself whilst out running.

Added to that of course there is still the problematical reserve berth to be filled.

Assuming Grieves fails to make it, Tigers will be able to use a guest for Grieves as the highest averaged injured rider with rider replacement still operating for Dicken. It is understood that Cam Woodward has been approached.

Glasgow have offered Rye House asset James Cockle the opportunity to guest at reserve this weekend both at Berwick and at Ashfield. The youngster is known to prefer the bigger tracks so may well be suited to Shielfield but in reality any CL guest now is basically making up the numbers. Hopefully one will use the opportunity to stake a claim for a permanent place though.

A tough task for the Tigers, a defeat but hopefully kept close to secure the bonus point in the return

Anticipated teams for Saturday are as follows:-

Glasgow
1. George Stancl
2. James Grieves/Cameron Woodward
3. r/r
4. Paul Bentley
5. Shane Parker
6. James Cockle
7. Eric Carrillo

Berwick
1. Adam Pietraszcko
2. Lee Smethills
3. Adrian Rymel
4. Josef Franc
5. Claus Krsitensen
