Captain Jones

It has been announced on the Official Glasgow Speedway site that with immediate effect Graham Jones is taking over the job of team captain from George Stancl.

The sharp-eyed amongst the Glasgow support noticed that Graham was skipper on Saturday at Stoke. In all reality he has been carrying out many aspects of the job since joining the Tigers and is usually the one seen to be welcoming riders back to the pits after races and offering advice in the pits.

He has clearly shown himself to be a good motivator and leader and it is hoped this will free up George to spend more time on his equipment which has been giving cause for concern. George has served us well as a captain but many feel it has been at the cost of his own form, especially this season.
