Premier Trophy Finalists
Posted 24/06/04
Although Glasgows semi final meetings in the
Premier Trophy are not scheduled until the 11th and 12th of July, the
other semi-final looks to have been settled after just one meeting.
Sheffield went to Exeter with high
hopes on Monday but were trounced 64-30. With the return leg on Thursday
and the rumour that Simon Stead would be guesting for Exeter it looked
almost guaranteed before a wheel was turned that the winner of the Glasgow
Reading semi will be facing the Falcons in the final.
However, rumour turned out not to be
true and it was Pickering who guested for the Falcons.
Sheffield did give it a good go and the final score of 56-38 shows that
the Falcons fans must have been worried that the Tigers were going to
pull it back.
So now we know the oppostiion in the
final. It may not be the favourite track of a few of our riders but
surely the incentive is now there to go out and this time get the better
of the Racers to reach our first final of the season?.
