Stoke Match Appeal Rejected
Posted 30/06/04It has been reported in todays papers that, as expected, the SCB have refused Glasgows appeal in to the fiasco at Stoke on 19th June.
What is more alarming is that the appeal was apparently rejected on the grounds that Glasgow did not nominate a TR in heat 14 anyway!
As the referee refused to allow Glasgow to nominate a TR and implied he was prepared to abandon the meeting and report them for bringing the sport into disrepute if they tried to, this reasoning is at best ludicrous.
It is not expected that Glasgow will take this any further but the non-clarification by this decision is unbelieveable-they seem to be encouraging promotions to revolt against referees else they will not be allowed to appeal.
