Posted 09/11/04
Two Glasgow assets took the annual rider awards
at the end of year presentation party for this years champions Hull
at the weekend.
The award for the Most Improved Rider of the Year at
Craven Park went to Ross Brady. After a disastrous spell at Glasgow
at the start of last season followed by a spell with Sheffield, Ross
was able to start the season at the Vikings on an average of only 5.52.
Under the guidance of Eric Boocock he is one of the riders who has increased
his average by the most in this years Premier League finishing on an
average of just under 8.
The Rider of the Year award also went to a Glasgow
asset, this time popular Argentinean Emiliano Sanchez. He was often
a meeting winner for the Vikings and due to the balance of the Vikings
side scored heavily at reserve as they closed in on their league title.
