Glasgow Tigers have today confirmed that Trent Leverington will be returning to Ashfield next season in Tigers colours.

The popular Aussie was very much the victim of circumstances last season when Glasgow had to drop him due to the lack of availability of a suitable 3 point rider to complete the team.

At the time, the Glasgow promotion promised Trent that he would be guaranteed a team slot for 2005 should he want it and they have stood by this promise.

After Trent was dropped from the Glasgow line up he rode Conference League with Buxton for a short while before Stoke snapped him up to ride Premier League.

Trent rose to the occassion and soon became a fans favourite amongst the Stoke faithful. They will be disappointed that they have not been able to secure Trent for 2005 as rumours at Stoke were that he was to return to the Potteries.

His average in 2004 improved by around half a point.
