Mixed Fortunes for Glasgow Pair

There were mixed fortunes tonight for Eric Carrillo riding in the Elite League for Wolves, and James Cockle riding in the Conference league at Wimbledon with Boston.

Eric was making a return to his parent club and up against a very strong looking Belle Vue side. In his four rides, he fell in heat 2 therefore came last and was then awarded a point in heat 4 after Ermolenko brought him down. Heat six saw another last place before once again getting a point at the expense of Ermolenko who fell in heat 7. The track was apparently very bumpy.

James had a very succesful night at Wimbledon, letting his racing do the talking. He top scored for Boston in their 56-38 win at Plough Lane with an impressive 16+1 despite being excluded under the 2 minute rule from his first race.

This should give him a confidence boost ahead of Glasgow's visit to his home track, Rye House, on Saturday.
