Shane's Shocker at Sheffield

Sheffield lost their home record to Workington tonight in a close fought match featuring Shane Parker as a guest at number 1 for Sheffield.

Shane's night started badly with an engine failure whilst in second in the opening heat being followed by a last place in heat 6.

Although he won heat 10 he came in third behind the Workington pairing in heat 13 with his partner in the race, Compton, suffering an engine failure.

The result is favourable for Glasgow but Tigers must still win against Workington on Sunday and hope that Sheffield drop another point in one of their remaining two home meetings to finish above the Yorkshire team.
