PLRC Disappointment

On a track that was an absolute disgrace and had experienced riders in the crowd commenting that it looked too dangerous to ride on, Shane had a very disappointing PLRC.

His scorecard shows 1 Ef Ef 1 2.

Shane's first engine failure in heat 6 happened whilst he was in second, his next engine failure came whilst at the back. In addition, his 1 point in heat 13 was due to Watson having an Ef as Shane was well off the pace at the back

In all honesty it looked as if Shane was spending so much time being approached by other riders, presumably about the state of the track, that he was probably physically and emotionally unprepared for each race-only my opinion, not something anyone has said.

Not Glasgow related, but at least four riders were hurt last night and in a top class field that does not happen on a decent track. In addition I have to say I feel very sorry for Mark Lemon who rode well and sensibly all night and was denied a re-run in the final
