Bentley 2nd in Bordernapolis

Called in as a late replacement when Charlie Gjedde could not make it, Paul Bentley last night came second behind Sam Ermolenko in the annual event at Berwick.

It was a surprise that he had not been included in the original line up, given that since 2000 he has recorded a win and two second places in the event at one of his favourite tracks.

He certainly did not disappoint the paying public and was involved in a few tussles on the track including in the final when he and young Pole Jurczynski were passing and re-passing for two laps (something not often seen at Berwick!) before the Pole suffered engine troubles.

Well done to Paul on a good nights racing.
