Todays Meeting-Heathersfield Golden Helmet

Weather permitting, the Heathersfield Golden Helmet will take place at Ashfield in a few hours time, tapes up at 3.00 pm.

Its understood that the meeting will be 20 heat format, the winner being the rider with most points.

Although not your normal meeting, it does give an opportunity to go along and see some of the riders who could be the future of speedway and, despite the lack of information on this event, hopefully as many as possible will turn up to give it their backing.

The majority of the expected field are teenagers with two only being 15. Home rider Gary Beaton must be one of the favourites but will have tough competition from Sean Stoddart, Andrew Tully and Adam McKinna amongst others.
