Cockle Injury
Posted 05/04/05

Sittingbourne have posted a little more information on James Cockle and his expected return from injury on their website.

The relevant section reads; -

"With James Cockle’s reported broken rib while racing for Glasgow having in fact been diagnosed as internal injuries the young Londoner was initially told he would miss two months of action, but with typical speedway riders’ resilience he is determined to be fit for the Oxford matches. The Crusaders will operate the rider-replacement scheme at Weymouth in his absence, sharing his rides amongst the rest of the team." .

The Oxford matches referred to are on the 24th and 28th April.

Glasgow have meetings against Stoke on the 23rd and Edinburgh on the 24th and it looks likely that could be the earliest James returns.

Replacements have still to be announced for this weekends meetings against Berwick on Saturday night and Sheffield on Sunday. Gary Beaton is scheduled to ride in the U21 qualifier at Scunthorpe on Sunday.
