Cockle Top Scores for Crusaders
Posted 14/04/05

James Cockle top scored for Sittingbourne tonight on his Crusaders debut but it was not enough to prevent them suffering heavy defeat on their visit to Weymouth.

James started off with two second places behind Wildcats David Mason and then Lee Smart. With the Crusaders 31 points down going into heat 11, James was put in as a tactical ride against the previously unbeaten Dan Giffard and Lewis Bridger. He rode well to take the victory and 6 points then followed that up by becoming the only rider on the night to beat David Mason when he won heat 13. Unfortunately he was to finish last in heat 15 but on the whole a successful night for James as an individual on what was a bad night for the Crusaders.
