Roynon Hurt in Post Meeting Crash
Posted 07/08/05

On a day when Glasgow were celebrating their biggest ever home win in the Premier League at Ashfield, a dampner was put on the day when Adam Roynon fell badly after the meeting whilst testing his second bike.

It was an horrific lookng crash - as many speedway crashes are. Adam appeared to lift coming out of the second bend whilst at full speed and was unable to get the bike back down. He crashed very heavily into the fence almost half way down the back straight.

The crash looked horrific and the medical staff took a long time to treat Adam before he was gently lifted into the ambulance. As a result, a lot of speculation has taken place on the resultant injury which is probably unhelpful at this stage at best.

The medical staff took every possible precaution and should be applauded for doing so. Michael Max announced over the tannoy at the time that Adam had full movement although was in quite a bit of pain. Any other comment appears to be pure speculation at this stage and serves no purpose.

Hopefully the morning will bring better news for young Adam and we wish him a very speedy recovery.
