It was a better night for George Stancl
in the Elite League as he clocked up 6+2 from four rides to help Ipswich
record a 51-45 home win over Poole.
His score was made up of a heat two win, two paid seconds
and a third.
In his final race in heat 14 George did come a cropper when
he and Poole's Shaun Tacey both ended up in the fence on the first
bend but both were able to take their place in the re-run.
It was apparently a far better showing from George tonight.
He was unlucky in the heat he came in third not to get past Ryan Sullivan,
the Aussie having to use all his skill and a fair bit of luck to keep
George behind him. he won heat two with considerable ease and in the
re-run of heat 14 George thwarted Shaun Tacey for third spot when
it looked as though it was assured.
