Gradings

A posting on the Somerset Forum by Somerset's
Press Officer has given an indication of the reserve gradings for
this season and makes interesting reading.
There have obviously been changes from the initial listings,
one of the riders that stands out as no longer being in the reserve
grades is James Birkinshaw who was previously mentioned as a Grade
A reserve at one of the Question and Answer sessions.

Assuming the list is 100% accurate, you are never going to
please everyone but one or two of the gradings do stand out as strange
- for example Adam Roynon graded as B alongside Chris Johnson who
is about to enter his third full season in speedway whilst Sean Stoddart
who has ridden more PL outings than Adam is graded C alongside rookies
like Adam McKinna and Gary Beaton.
Perhaps one glaring omission for Glasgow fans is that of
David McAllan whilst Aiden Collins IS included in the gradings with
similar experience and having reached a higher average.
In addition to the listing, promoters can appeal to have
a rider listed should they wish to sign them.
