Good News for Tigers

In addition to the news on the hotline this
morning that Kauko Nieminen has become Glasgow's fifth signing (see
separate story),
David McAllan's average for next season was also announced.
It had been widely expected that David's average of 4.52
would be amended to exclude bonus points and bring him into line with
other riders but the Promotion have awaited confirmation of this rather
than just assuming.
It has now been confirmed however that David's average for
2006, excluding bonus points, will be 3.70, which means that the promotion
now have 12.88 points left for the remaining two riders. From comments
made it looks possible that this could be used by signing a rider
of around the 8 point mark with one just under 5 rather than two around
the 6/7 point mark.
