Trent Raring to Go
Posted 24/02/05

This weeks Glasgow section of the Speedway Star reports that Trent Leverington is now back in the UK and looking forward to the new season.

The article refers back to last year and Trent admits that there was a certain amount of trepidation between agreeing this seasons contract with the Tigers and now, because of what happened last year.

As things stand at the moment, Trent will line up as the highest average reserve in the PL when tapes go up in March although technically Exeter could end up with a higher average reserve if they re-shuffle their team following the injury to Kolenko.

Trent has acknowledged the extra pressure this puts on him, especially in the early meetings when James Cockle will be missing, and he is looking forward to the challenge.

It is to the promotions credit that they kept their word of 12 months ago when they guaranteed Trent a place for 2005 but it says a lot more about Trent that he was willing to put Glasgow first after all that had happened.

Welcome back Trent..
