With the official start date of the season
less than two months away, the date of Glasgow's Press and Practice
day has now been confirmed as Thursday 10th March with a 2.30 p.m.
start time.
In addition to the afternoon practice session, interviews
and photographs there will also be the usual 'meet-the-riders' session
that evening in the main bar at Ashfield.
The official start of the
British Speedway season was brought forward to 1st March this year
by the BSPA, therefore Glasgow's is probably one of the last Press
and Practice sessions. Competitive is racing still provisionally expected
to commence at Ashfield with the Spring Trophy meeting against Edinburgh
on 13th March. If this fixture is not confirmed there will probably
be a challenge match of some sort opening the season on the 13th.
