Ashfield Volunteers
Posted 22/01/05

Work on preparing Ashfield for the start of the new season is scheduled to commence THIS SUNDAY from 11a.m. and anyone who can help in any way will be made very welcome.

The following is taken from comments made by Alan Dick in this weeks Speedway Star: -

"Starting this Sunday we will have a working party at the track every week for the next couple of months for a general tidying up of the place. There are various sorts of things that need doing like painting, cleaning and weeding, and any help we can get from our supporters would be a bonus.

Any volunteers who would like to help should turn up at the stadium this Sunday and make themselves known to our track curator Danny Gibb or his assistant Hugh McNeilly. We have had these working parties for the last few years and they really are invaluable."

Apologies for the later notice of this as I wasn't aware of it until now. A chance to blow away those winter cobwebs, chat with other speedway fans whilst helping prepare the stadium! (have I convinced you yet?).
