The qualifying meeting to decide the remaining
six places for the Australian U-21 final, in which Glasgow's Matthew
Wethers was seeded, took place earlier today.
As expected, Cory Gathercole qualified quite comfortably
and will be joined by Tom Hedley, Lee Herne, Scott James, James Holder
and Michael Slade. Surprisingly Karlis Ezergalis did not qualify outright
but will be one of the reserves for the meeting.
Rory Schlein remains firm favourite to collect his
third title in a row
