Academy Comes to Glasgow
Posted 24/07/05

This season sees the first British Academy League, the much talked about league for under 16's, and Glasgow will host one of the fixtures.

The aim of the league is to give riders under the age of 16 a chance to get experience at many different tracks throughout the country racing against youngsters of a similar age and standard.

There are six teams - Buffalos, Bulls, Cobras, Dinosaurs, Rams and Rhinos - and Glasgow will play host to the meting between the Rams and the Cobras on Sunday September 4th.

Its a good opportunity for the supporters to see some of the up and coming youngsters and its good to see the promotion back this new initiative. Who knows, perhaps some of them may also realise that Glasgow isn't at the end of the world after all and appear in Tigers stripes in the future.
