After a weekend in which
referees seemed determined to make their mark on meetings in Wales,
some might like to think about having a look at exactly what is involved
in being a referee - and the opportunity to do just that is available
at Shane's testimonial.
The referee for the meeting is none other than Graham Reeve
and he has offered the opportunity for a fan to bid to be his assistant
for the day with all proceeds naturally going to Shane.
As Graham is recognised as one of the top referees in the
country and involved in many aspects of speedway it could also be
an opportunity to ask one of the many probing questions that we can
never seem to get a straight answer to!
The auction to be the referees assistant has started and
at the time of writing the top bid is only £75. There are still
a couple of weeks to go for interested parties to get their bids in.
