George Rides for Slany

As expected, George Stancl did turn out for his Czech side, Slany, yesterday evening despite the back injuries received at Newport on Sunday.

He scored eight points from his rides, comprising a first, two seconds and a third. There seems to be disagreement between the two Czech reports as to whether he suffered an engine failure or was excluded in the fourth of his five rides.

Slany won on the night by 3 points from current league leaders Pardubice with Praha third and Plzen fourth, taking Slany into second place overall.

There is now a long break in Czech action for George with the next round of the Ekstraliga, again at Slany, not being held until the 31st of August.
