Lightening Finish for David

A massive thunder and lightening storm brought Sunday's Championship of GB meeting to a premature end after only 8 heats with Glasgow asset David McAllan joint leader at the time!

In a depleted field, David had recorded a win and a second place in the two rides he was able to take before the meeting was abandoned. Amongst the riders he defeated were Scott Robson, Shaun Tacey and home rider Jamie Robertson.

David can certainly feel a little unlucky that, given his form on the day, the meeting could not run to a conclusion. It is not yet known when the meeting will be restaged but it is very unlikely that David - who was only in as a late replacement for injury victim Kevin Little - will get another chance.
