The Official Glasgow Website
has announced the team order for the Tigers first meeting at Workington
- and the good news for Gary Beaton is that he gets the number 6 race
jacket.
The reserve slot is vacant for the first four Glasgow meetings due
to James Cockle's suspension and although most people expected Gary
to get the nod it has now been confirmed.
Gary has already worn the number 8 jacket for the
Tigers and also appeared in the Hull side which lost to Glasgow last
May in place of Magnus Karlsson.
He will no doubt be keen to prove himself on a track
he lists as one of his favourites although he will have tough Workington
reserves in opposition in the form of James Wright and Tony Dart
The complete team order is as expected with Matthew
Wethers forming the opening partnership with George Stancl and Paul
Bentley riding at no 4 to give the Tigers strength in later heats.
