Admission Prices

An e-mail has confirmed that Glasgow admission
prices for 2005 have been set at £11.50 for adults, £7.50
for juveniles/oaps and £4.00 for under-12's.
Some clubs have come under fire for doing away with
concession prices altogether, something the promotion confirmed at
the supporters meeting in January that they would not be considering
doing.
However at Berwick on Saturday night, Berwick increased
their concessions to only £1 below full admission price with
the result that some concessions elected not to go in after arriving
at the stadium. A mischievous and ill-informed post on the British
Speedway Forum suggested that, amongst others, Glasgow would be doing
the same but this is clearly NOT the case.
It is to the promotions credit that they have stood
by their word in this and it is up to all of us to ensure this decision
is not abused by the few.
Where known, I will post admission costs for forthcoming
away meetings in the days before the meeting. Workington have indicated
that admission prices for this Saturdays meeting are £11 for
adults, OAP/Students £8, children up to 15 £5 and a family
ticket £27.
