Workington En Route

Tomorrows opponents Workington suffered a hefty defeat at the hands of Berwick this evening at Shielfield.

The Comets were beaten 53-39, an exact reverse of the previous nights score between the two teams at Derwent Park although in possibly the only plus point of the night for them, Shaun Tacey won the run off for the bonus point.

From Glasgow's point of view, most of the Workington riders had a poor night with the exception of Tacey and Wright, with both Stonehewer and Robson suffering bike gremlins.

Hopefully this will mean that heads will be down in the Comets camp rather than Workington being more determined although of course Ashfield is a very different type of track.
