A rule change that quietly came about after
last years BSPA Conference is due to come into effect from tomorrow.
Whether it will be particularly noticeable
is another matter. However from tomorrow riders will no longer wear
yellow and black helmet covers but will instead be required to wear
plain yellow ones.
It still seems very strange that
this was seen as a priority for change but as from tomorrow riders
will have to pack away their yellow and black helmet covers. It will
presumably make it easier during a meeting to distinguish riders taking
TR and TS's in their white and black quarter helmets.
The reason for the delay in bringing
the rule in was to allow riders the time to source the new yellow
helmet colours.
