Birko Rides in Yorkshire Classic

Jamie Birkinshaw was the sole Glasgow rider in tonight's Yorkshire Classic at Craven Park.

The 16 man line up naturally had a heavy Hull bias with all the current squad included and was won by Paul Thorp.

For Jamie, the meeting started badly with a last place but he followed this with a second and a third before recording his second last place of the evening. He then went on to win his final race of the evening against Joel Parsons, new Italian Terenzani and the meeting reserve Martin.

It is impossible to judge merely from scores how a meeting went. Full details and comment will probably be available on the Hull Vikings site tomorrow.
