Withdraws Claus at Berwick

Claus was guesting for Kings Lynn at Shielfield
this evening and was withdrawn from the meeting by the Doctor after
three rides.
No confirmation has been received yet
but it is thought that the withdrawal was merely precautionary after
a hefty heat 9 collision with the fence when laying down his bike
quickly to avoid fallen team mate for the night Ashley Jones.

Bandits Forum, the heat was described as follows: -
Ashley Jones
fell on bend 3 lap 1 and Kristensen, trying to avoid him, crashed
into the fence. Both stricken riders seem to be OK. Adrian Rymel
was first over the fence to see if they were all right and Ashley
Jones back in the pits congratulated Kristensen for laying down
so well to avoid him. Kristensen's reply was "Don't mention
it, mate. All I'm really bothered about is the ******* bike".

Claus did take part in the re-run of
heat 9 but came in last. His previous two races had resulted in a
win and a paid second.
The race will now be on for Claus to
ensure his own fitness for tomorrow and with any luck it will not
have been his Ashfield bike that was damaged this evening or he could
have a very busy morning tomorrow..
