Who Rides for Berwick Pt 2
Posted 20/05/05

Berwick's team is now a little clearer after a statement made by Peter Waite last night.

Dane Tom P Madsen is the new permanent face at Berwick replacing Piotr Dym. He had been riding Elite league with Oxford but failed to impress and was released on Monday with Oxford Promoter Nigel Wagstaff confirming at the same time that he was in talks with a Premier League club. He will be keen to impress his 'new' club but does not have a particularly good record around Ashfield, only scoring 4 from 4 in his last visit. However his inclusion means that Adrian Rymel will now ride as one of the two heat leaders for Berwick.

Coming in as Conference League guest is Chris Mills, recently released by Reading. He will certainly be the best CL option they could get as he has been averaging around 5.29 in the PL with Reading from second string. His last Premier League visit to Ashfield was in July last year when he scored 6 from 7 in the reserve berth. He has improved since then and again will be keen to impress as there is a chance of a permanent position being up for grabs.

Finally as Kugelmann has also been confirmed as riding Berwick will certainly be a lot stronger a team than was being claimed earlier in the week and it should be a bit more competitive a meeting, although one which Glasgow should still win. It remains to be seen what effect this weeks earlier spin from south of the border will have on the crowd however as not everyone has access to the internet, especially at the weekends.
