Ashley Jones

It is with sadness that we have today read that Kings Lynn's Ashley Jones has been killed whilst racing at his home town in Australia.

It is a stark reminder of the dangers of the sport we all love and the whole speedway community will be in mourning today for a popular and well liked young man who just wanted to race.

It was Ashley who secured the win for Kings Lynn at Ashfield in August with a heat 12 win, the last race before the rain called a halt to the meeting.

The thoughts of all at the unofficial Glasgow site, no doubt along with all speedway fans worldwide, are very much with Ashley's family and friends at this time.
