The Scottish Sun today carried a small article on James Cockle and his possible dilemma for next season if Glasgow insist on their reserves being locally based.

The article starts by quoting James as saying he will move heaven and earth to remain a Glasgow Tiger but in view of his age he is not so sure about relocating up north.

Much has been made of Glasgow's need to reduce costs and one route many expect the promotion to take is to go for locally based riders, a criteria James - who is based in March in Cambridgeshire - does not meet.

James is also quoted as saying 'I love the Tigers and I'm desperate to return. I hope something can be sorted out. It would be a disaster if I couldn't come back'.

Its a sentiment that the majority of Glasgow fans would echo and with the new grading system for reserves combined with the lower average for 1-5 James is one of the reserves expected to be in high demand.
