Ashfield Classic
Posted 01/10/05

Tomorrow sees the annual Ashfield Classic being held at Glasgow with a first time winner being guaranteed, none of the field having won the title previously.

Last years winner and ever popular competitor Carl Stonehewer is injured and therefore unable to defend his title.

There has been no final confirmation of the field as yet and there will almost certainly be one or two changes from that announced but as things stand the provisional line up is: -

01. James Grieves (Newcastle)
02. Mark Lemon (Exeter)
03. Adam Pietraszko (Berwick)
04. Claus Kristensen (Glasgow)
05. Adrian Rymel (Berwick)
06. David Howe (Wolverhampton)
07. Ross Brady (Edinburgh)
08. Henning Bager (Peterborough)
09. Shane Parker (Glasgow)
10. George Stancl (Glasgow)
11. Theo Pijper (Edinburgh)
12. Mariusz Francow (Poland)
13. James Wright (Workington)
14. Adam Skornicki (Wolverhampton)
15. Piotr Dym (Poland)
16. Trent Leverington (Glasgow)

David Howe will be trying to make it a double having already won this seasons Scottish Open at Armadale and with Stancl, Bager, Pijper, Dym, Skornicki, Frankow, Pietraszko and Rymel all in action in tonights Bordernapolis there is a remote chance the winner of that event could be challenging for theAshfield title.
