Dabbles with Grass

Shane will be riding in his second testimonial
meeting of the week tonight when he appears at Baz Woodruff's 25th
Anniversary meeting at Somerset.
Baz is better known on the grass track circuit than the speedway scene
and as such his meeting has been billed as a 'meeting with a difference'.
It sees 16 riders taking to the Oak Tree Arena on grasstrack bikes
complete with gears and rear suspension but fitted with the normal
19" size speedway wheels.
Should be interesting to see how lap times compare with those
of a normal rigid speedway machine.
