Rider Rumours Start

This weeks Speedway Star appears to give Glasgow fans some optimism that all will be well for racing in Glasgow next season with talk of a possible signing being lined up.

The rider in question is Mariusz Frankow, who recently impressed riding in a few open meetings including the Ashfield Classic.

From the Speedway Star, Alan Dick is quoted as saying; -

"Mariusz doesn't speak a lot of English but we were able to speak to him with Berwick's Adam Pietraszko acting as interpreter.

Mariusz told us he loved the track and that he would like to ride for us next season.

Of course the major stumbling block is that he rides in the Polish First Division on Sundays, although Mariusz seems to think that can be overcome.

He certainly seems desperate to come over here and it would be great if we can fit him in."

With points limits still to be decided and rumours of a change being rife it seems unlikely that any signings will be made until after the promoters conference. However the rumour season does appear to have well and truly started!
