James and Shane Weekend

Two of the 2005 Tigers team, James Cockle and Shane Parker, were in
action over the weekend and different events.
Whilst Ashfield was hosting the Heathersfield Golden Helmet,
James was riding at no 1 in a double header for Boston against Scunthorpe
for the Lincolnshire trophy.
In the first meeting at Scunthorpe in the afternoon, James
recorded three wins and two second places - including a tactical ride
- in his five rides. He continued this form in the second meeting
in the evening at Boston when he claimed five outright wins plus a
second place when out as a Tactical Substitute off 15m. Unfortunately
it was not enough as Boston lost the Lincolnshire trophy on aggregate
by 86-100.
Meantime on the previous evening Shane Parker had been riding
in the ASL Freight Challenge at Peterborough amongst a high quality
field. He only managed to score four points, from one win and a third
place, in his five outings.
