Another Gloomy Statement

Glasgow fans receiving their Speedway Star through the mail this morning
were left choking on their cornflakes as the headline on page 2 jumped
out - 'Doubts Over Glasgow'.

and centres round the likelihood that Glasgow will NOT be able to
race at Ashfield next season after all.
It is disappointing that yet again Glasgow fans have not
been told first of these concerns, nothing - even as yet - having
been posted on the official website. Supporters are possibly the biggest
asset of any sporting organisation and in most cases it is surely
better to communicate with them.
That said, journalists do not always get it right although
recent experience has shown a lack of clear lines of communication
between the promotion and the support.
Hopefully it will assure a good turnout for the STARS event
tomorrow night at Ashfield - arranged by fans for the benefit
of Glasgow speedway - an event that Alan Dick has confirmed
elsewhere in the Speedway Star that he will be attending. Apparently
he will 'bring fans up to date'. It could be interesting!
