Friday Night Speedway

For those already missing their weekly fix of speedway there is a
chance to take part in a speedway race night at Ashfield tomorrow
evening courtesy of the newly formed STARS group.
It gives the opportunity for fans to come along and enjoy
some speedway on the small screen, meet up with the people normally
only seen on the terracings and in view of the bombshell dropped in
this weeks Speedway Star (see separate story) ask some pertinent questions.
It has been quoted previously that at least one of the promotion would
be present at this inaugural STARS event.

As you probably know by now, S.T.A.R.'s
was formed by a group of committed Tigers fans who are undertaking
to raise the profile of The Glasgow Tigers in and around the Glasgow
area by way of advertising, marketing and promotional activities.
All monies raised by our various fundraising events will be spent
on increasing the awareness of the Tigers in the community.
Our first fund raising event is a Speedway Race Night being held on
Friday, 28 October, in the stadium's family room, with "tapes
up" at 7.30p.m. The stadium will be open to allow car parking
on the race track and the event is open to all ages. Heat sponsorship
at £20 and Rider sponsorship at £5 is still available.
Entry is £1 for adults, free for Children. There will be bar
facilities available and a prize raffle will also be drawn.
It sounds like it could be an interesting night, especially
if members of the promotion are present.
