Captain Shane Again-but not at Glasgow
Posted 28/10/05

After a year away from Sweden, Shane Parker has elected to return and has been named as Kaparna's new captain for the 2006 season.

Kaparna were relegated this season and have also announced that they have signed a co-operation deal with Piraterna. However, like Glasgow, Kaparna appear to have problems with regards to securing a home track for next season and could end up having to quickly arrange a track share.

Shane's previous time in Sweden was mainly responsible for Glasgow signing Stefan Ekberg last season and the popular Swede will be lining up against Shane in Sweden next season as he has arranged terms once again with Lejonen. The only other rider currently associated with Glasgow to have lined up a Swedish slot is asset Henning Bager who will be turning out for Valsarna.

Unlike the UK, the Swedish deadline for signing and declaring teams is imminent, part of the reason Swedish commitments often gain priority over the UK ones.
