Stefan in Sweden for VMS Elit

Whilst his Glasgow team mates have been in action at the Isle of Wight, Stefan Ekberg has been riding in Sweden for VMS Elit in the first leg of the Elitserien semi-finals.

VMS Elit, who finished second in the league, were away to fourth place Smederna.

Stefan scored a decent 6+2 from his five rides, made up of two second places and two paid seconds with a last place in heat 8 when he and team mate Rune Holta were on the wrong end of a 5-1 courtesy of Billy Hamill and Jesper B Jensen. Smederna went on to record a narrow victory by 49-47.

The second leg of the tie is scheduled for tomorrow evening but the teams have yet to be confirmed.
