2004
Glasgow Scoring Record
David is probably one of the most likeable guys in speedway. He
has been riding since 1986 making his Division 3 debut four days
short of his 16th birthday.
A well known face at Glasgow who did a decent job for the Tigers
at reserve in 2003, David was a victim of the points limits and
his outspoken nature after stating at the end of last season that
he felt it would be beneficial for him to have a year away from
Glasgow to try and improve his away form.
Partly due to his average, no club came in for him and David ended
up riding Conference League at Boston this season.
With the crises for Glasgow at number two following the retiral
of Graham Jones, the Glasgow promotion moved to secure the return
of David , in all honesty after other avenues had been exhausted.
As is his style, David gave his all in every meeting and has an
excellent attitude in the pits. Unfortunately it was not to be enough
to put him in the running for a team slot at Glasgow in 2005 and
it seems likely that he will once again be plying his trade in the
Conference League in 2005.
