Jamie is probably the surprise rider of the Tigers 2005 line up
as he is renowned for being solely a 'big track' rider.
He has been riding at Sheffield training track since he was 13,
breaking into League racing with his home town club at the top level
for 3 meetings in 1996. Most of his career to date has been with
Sheffield and Newcastle with brief appearances for Workington, Edinburgh,
Stoke and Glasgow (in 2000 for 3 meetings).
2005 is undoubtedly going to be a 'make or break' season for the
Yorkshireman and he himself readily acknowledges that he has to
master smaller tracks. His engines are tuned by one of last years
Tigers, Graham Jones, and Jamie lists him as a big influence on
his career so hopefully he will aid him on bike set up whilst the
current heat leaders can advise him on the track and Glasgow can
reap the benefits.
