Shane Parker came out on top in a quality field at King's Lynn tonight to win the Ashley Jones Memorial meeting.

In his five qualifying rides, Shane recorded two firsts and three seconds to qualify for the final along with Olly Allen and Jason Doyle. After a run off between Schlein, Topinka and Nermark they were joined by Topinka.

An accident in the first running saw Doyle clip Parkers back wheel and suffer a nasty fall although he was able to get up after lengthy treatment.

The second running saw a comfortable win for Shane with the racing being for second place between Topinka and Allen, King's Lynn's captain eventually claiming the runners up spot.

The reasons for this meeting taking place would have made it an emotional night for all concerned and from initial comments made by people who were there, the riders did Ashley proud.
