Tigers Confirmed in Fours

At long last the authorities have finally confirmed who has qualified for the Premier League Fours event at Workington in just over two weeks time and as expected the Tigers are one of those named.

They have been named in group 2 alongside hosts Workington, holders Somerset and Mildenhall who are perhaps the surprise team named in the event.

With Workington having home advantage and Somerset's Magnus Zetterstrom having the top average of the competing riders round Derwent Park this year, qualification will be tough for the Tigers.

Neither Edinburgh or Berwick made the cut for the event, Redcar and Isle of Wight are the two from the current top eight in the league who also failed to make the event.

The two groups are: -

Rye House
Newcastle

Group 2

Workington
Somerset
GLASGOW
