Bird Blow for Tigers

Glasgow have been dealt a severe blow ahead of tonight's meeting with fellow league challengers, Sheffield, at Owlerton with the news that Danny Bird will miss the meeting and is indeed a doubt for the weekend.

Danny has been laid low with a severe throat infection since Tuesday and has been prescribed anti-biotic's by his Doctor to try and alleviate the problem. he is definitely not fit for this evening and his fitness for the meetings against Newcastle on Sunday and Monday are very much dependant on whether or not the anti biotic's clear up the problem on time.

As he is second in the current Tigers averages, Glasgow will be operating rider replacement for Danny at one of the most energy sapping circuits in the premier league with all the remaining Tigers eligible to take a rider replacement ride.
