Belle Vue Sale Goes Through

The sale of Elite League Club Belle Vue, which appeared to have been on and off for a few months now, has finally gone through and the news has a significance for Glasgow as one of those named as co-promoter at Belle Vue is current Glasgow co-promoter Gordon Pairman.

Gordon had initially been tipped to take over at Kirkmanshulme Lane at the beginning of September but after his interest was made public with Belle Vue fans making their opposition to the move known, his interest was withdrawn.

Chris Morton and David Gordon then looked to have the deal tied up but a last minute hitch saw that deal fall through at the end of last month.

All three have now joined together and were earlier today confirmed by the Manchester Evening News as the new co-promoters at Belle Vue.

It is not known at present what effect this will have on Glasgow speedway.
