A Night with Stars

There was a healthy turn out last night as Glasgow's STARs group played host to three stars of the shale in the form of two Glasgow legends and a current Grand Prix rider.

Co-compere Derek Smith told the assembled audience that legends Andy Reid and Steve Lawson were worried that no one would remember them but they were left in no doubt with a rousing reception as they entered with the old Steve Lawson songs getting another airing.

Hans Anderson has received mixed press in the past from the media but was an instant hit with the fans with his friendly approach and willingness to answer all questions not to mention show he had a good sense of humour and the ability to laugh at himself.

Its not really possible to give a flavour of the night in writing, you really had to be there - although it was filmed.

A good night was had by all and the STARs committee once again deserve great credit for pulling it all together.
